Best Xbox Games Fortnite: Battle Royale Review

  • Make: Epic Games
  • Release Date: September 26, 2017
  • Console: PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, Android, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Mac

Fortnite Battle Royale is a reboot version of its predecessor Battle Royale that did not cause much of a stir upon its initial release. However, Fortnite, even though it takes a lot after its competitor PUBG, is doing a lot well then could be expected. The concept is slightly similar to Kinji Fakasaku’s movie with the same name Battle Royale released in 2000.

The theme goes like this. 100 players land on an island and try to be the last one standing by killing other players. They can scavenge items and health packs necessary for a combat. Tension immensely builds at the end when the island starts to shrink, forcing the players together. What makes it different from PUBG, however, is its Save Mode where players can gather trees, building and other materials to build a fort around them for protection; something taken from the classic Fortnite version.

Fortnite has been declared safe for 13+ yr olds. It may be a violent game based on weapon use and killing but there is less visual and nonexistent gory graphics content compared to other games.
Epic Games recently released a mobile version which has been slaying the game charts on AppStore and Google Play.
